About Varsity Esports

We're a member of the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE), a leading organization in college-level esports. We've been competing since 2021 in top titles, securing big wins, including one national championship and four regional championships. Our varsity athletes train and compete in our Esports Facility with specialized equipment and coaches.

Tryouts

Tryouts take place from late summer through early fall and are open to incoming or current Minnesota State University, Mankato students. Fill out the varsity esports interest form, and we'll get back to you with the next steps. Scholarship

The $2,000 Rolfsrud-Wallerstedt Esports Scholarship is an opportunity for current first-year students who align to an underrepresented population. Applications are open in February.

Academic Requirements

To help encourage and support students' academic progress, we require certain standards to be upheld. Athletes must:

Be in good academic standing.
Be enrolled as a full-time student, 12 or more credits (Graduating semester students exempt).
Be degree-seeking with a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
User accounts must be in good standing and not have any bans for the past 365 days.
